Come sit under 'Evangeline Oak' and learn about the 1755 expulsion of the Acadians from Nova Scotia, through Longfellow's epic poem 'Evangeline'. Explore the Creole plantation home, Maison Olivier, built in 1815. The site includes the family home with an outdoor kitchen and bread oven, slave quarters and a barn.
